Tawny Eagles, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
Sunday Times Travel, together with Wilderness Safaris and Canon, is on the hunt for outstanding wilderness photographs in two categories:
1) Endangered Africa – Images that tell a moving story about the fragile nature of Africa’s rare or endangered wild landscapes, animals and plants.
2) Wildlife Behaviour – Photos that shine a spotlight on the extraordinary (and often secret) lives of wild animals, aquatic life, birds or insects.
Monthly and yearly winners were announced in the Sunday Times Travel print supplement
Louise was the August winner for the Wildlife Behaviour category the Sunday Times Wilderness Photograph Competition for her submission of the “tawny eagle” shot.
As described by her, a tawny eagle in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park claims its territory by “making a huge noise” when a rival tries to land next door.
She also qualified for the Sunday Times Wilderness Photograph of the year competition 2016.
